Chapter 183: The Door to Restart, the Choice of Destiny

The door to restart, the choice of destiny

Feng Jing's consciousness finally returned from the endless void, and he found himself standing before a brilliant door. Flanking the door were intricate runes, seemingly imbued with an unspeakable power. The door's material seemed unreal, as if woven from pure light and shadow, its form shifted constantly, flickering and fading. This was a door that defied all the laws of the universe. Feng Jing knew it was the entrance to another dimension, a passage to endless possibilities.

He reached out and gently touched the edge of the door. Instantly, a radiant light shone forth, and the entire void seemed to brighten instantly. Feng Jing's consciousness was enveloped by a powerful force, and his entire body felt as if it were being sucked into a whole new dimension. The impact was incredibly intense, and Feng Jing felt the space around him rapidly warping, and the flow of time becoming unstable. Everything seemed to be collapsing at an accelerating pace, and all laws were collapsing and being re-established.

After a moment, Feng Jing's vision gradually cleared, and he found himself in a completely different world. The sky and earth here weren't real, but seemed merely illusions created by some kind of thought. In the distance, Feng Jing saw a massive palace, its towers seemingly reaching for the heavens. Its summits were enveloped in an endless radiance, shimmering with inscrutable colors.

"Where... is this?" Feng Jing whispered, his voice echoing in the empty space, as if even the air was moved by the sound and resonated.

"This is the door of destiny." A voice came from behind Feng Jing, with a sense of majesty and depth. "You stand at the end of destiny, the intersection of all choices."

Feng Jing turned abruptly and saw a figure in ancient robes appear before him. The figure's face was blurry, as if disconnected from the material world. Only a pair of deep eyes seemed exceptionally bright, as if able to see through everything.

"Who are you?" Feng Jing asked, his heart full of questions and curiosity.

"I am the gatekeeper of fate, the arbiter of all possibilities." The man smiled faintly, his eyes deep. "The entire universe, all of time and space, are under my control. No one's fate can escape my sight."

Feng Jing remained silent. None of this seemed entirely unexpected. After experiencing endless confusion and leaps, Feng Jing gradually realized that this wasn't just a simple space, but something far more complex. The mazes, collapses, and leaps he'd experienced all felt like a test, a process that pushed him toward his true self.

Feng Jing took a deep breath, his heart surging with emotion. Two choices seemed to open up different paths before him. One was to return to the starting point, to the past, and endure a predestined fate; the other was to enter the unknown, accept endless challenges, become a brand new being, and possibly change everything.

"What choice should I make?" Feng Jing asked in a low and clear voice.

The gatekeeper looked at Feng Jing with a barely perceptible trace of compassion in his eyes. "Choosing isn't easy. Everyone has their own destiny, but you've transcended that constraint. What you choose will determine what kind of existence you will become and the endless possibilities of your future."

Feng Jing closed his eyes, feeling an unprecedented power surge within him, invisible yet omnipresent. His past confusion and struggles had long since dissipated with the awakening of that power. No matter what path he chose, he was no longer a mere individual, but part of a universe of infinite possibilities.

"I choose..." Feng Jing opened his eyes, his gaze firm, his voice full of determination, "I choose to jump, to transcend fate."

"You've made your choice." The gatekeeper nodded slightly, a complex light flashing in his eyes. "You will bear all the consequences. Remember, fate has never been kind to anyone. Your choice will bring endless responsibility."

Feng Jing felt no fear; instead, his heart surged with strength. He knew that everything he had experienced, all the trials and challenges, would ultimately forge a new self. The Feng Jing of the past might no longer exist, but the Feng Jing of the future would be fearless.

Just as Feng Jing was about to step forward, the entire world suddenly shook violently. Endless light surged into his body, as if to devour him completely. The force was so powerful and relentless that Feng Jing felt as if his entire being was being torn apart, and the line between body and consciousness began to blur. Time and space began to distort, and countless figures of Feng Jing emerged from the void, each experiencing a different fate.

These Feng Jing figures, as the gatekeepers of fate have said, represent endless choices and possibilities. Each Feng Jing pursues a different path, becoming a tyrant, a savior, or forever lost in the void. Yet, regardless, their existences are inextricably intertwined, forming the endless cycle of the universe.

Feng Jing's mind gradually calmed down, and he began to understand that true freedom does not lie in escaping fate, but in accepting the challenge of fate. No matter what choice he made, the important thing was that he had become the master of his own destiny.

When everything calmed down, Feng Jing's consciousness was once again pulled out of the vortex of nothingness. He stood on the other side of the door of fate, and a whole new world greeted him.
