Chapter 214 You're really something
Chapter 214 You're really something
Bo Junxing also looked solemn, his brows furrowed, as he slowly raised his hand and grasped Shen Feiwan's wrist holding the knife.
"My men will not act without my orders."
Shen Feiwan narrowed her eyes, a hint of wariness flashing in them. "Didn't you say there were no houses here, that it was some godforsaken place? Why would someone park their car here?"
She lowered her voice, "The environment is different abroad and at home. Those people are considered to be trespassing on private property."
“I don’t know either,” Bo Junxing said, looking down at the sharp weapon held against his neck. “Put the knife away first.”
Shen Feiwan quickly weighed the pros and cons, and with a flick of her wrist, she put the fruit knife away.
She stood up, glanced at Bo Junxing, and said, "You have the key to the shackles yourself, right? Put on some clothes, I'll go take a look."
After saying that, she quickly walked to the window and hid behind the heavy curtains.
She dared not make any large movements, for fear that if she did, the people below would be able to pinpoint her location.
She slowly pulled back the curtains a little and pushed the window open slightly.
A black SUV is parked downstairs right now.
Through the crack in the window, she quickly saw what was happening inside the car.
Two burly men with full beards sat in the front of the car, intently loading bullets.
They were all carrying guns!
Shen Feiwan's heart tightened, and she quickly closed the window.
Immediately, she crouched down and quietly retreated to the wardrobe, reaching out to tug at Bo Junxing's trouser leg, signaling him to squat down.
Bo Junxing had already dressed by then. Seeing her unusual expression, he lowered his voice and asked her, "What's wrong?"
Shen Feiwan crouched down, lowering her voice considerably, "Speak while crouching. Two muscular men have come in; they're loading bullets into a handgun in their car. Bo Junxing, have you offended someone, or is there something wrong with this house?"
Bo Junxing's expression hardened. "I haven't offended anyone, and there's nothing wrong with the property rights of this house."
"Then what do you mean by this?" Shen Feiwan looked up at him. "Is this still my problem?"
Bo Junxing's eyes darkened slightly. "I don't know about that."
Shen Feiwan quickly scanned the room and asked him, "Do you have a gun?"
"Unfortunately, no." Bo Junxing put on his last thick coat, the sound of the fabric rubbing together being particularly clear in the silence.
A commotion then came from downstairs.
Shen Feiwan listened carefully, then cursed under her breath and said, "I think I heard them get out of the car and close the door. Normal, friendly conversations shouldn't involve loading ammunition before entering someone's house, right? I remember your house doesn't even have a back door."
Bo Junxing put on another pair of gloves and said calmly, "You have a good memory; this house really doesn't have a back door."
Shen Feiwan glared at him angrily, "What kind of time is this to still be mocking me?"
She grabbed his wrist. "Quickly, think of a way to run!"
“There’s an escape rope next door,” Bo Junxing suggested, hooking his hand around her fingers. “We can use the rope to get out the window.”
"Alright!" Shen Feiwan narrowed her eyes and said, "If they're not after you, they might really only be after me. Why don't I just run away by myself, and you stay here?"
Bo Junxing chuckled softly, his eyes icy. "Is this how you show respect for life? You don't dare kill me yourself, so you let me die by someone else's gun?"
"Never mind," Shen Feiwan turned her face away, "...pretend I didn't say anything."

Bo Junxing pushed open the door, the wooden hinges creaking slightly, and Shen Feiwan immediately followed.
After entering the next room, Bo Junxing quickly took out a bundle of climbing rope and a pair of leather gloves from one of the cabinets.
He handed the gloves to Shen Feiwan, who took them and put them on, her knuckles moving nimbly under the leather.
She tiptoed to the window, and as soon as she opened it a crack, she suddenly squatted down.
Just as Bo Junxing was about to ask her what was wrong, she put her index finger to her lips and said, "Don't rush to lower the rope. They haven't gone inside; they're coming this way."
Bo Junxing frowned and moved closer, his shoulder almost touching her back. "Look at what they're doing."
Shen Feiwan slowly straightened up, glanced down through the crack in the window, and muttered, "They're peeing."
Downstairs, two men were urinating in the snow. Their breath, like white mist, mixed with their conversation and drifted into Shen Feiwan and Bo Junxing's ears.
They were speaking English, which both Shen Feiwan and Bo Junxing could understand.
One of them complained, "Are you sure you're not in the wrong place? There's not a single car in sight in this godforsaken place."
“That’s why I told you to drink less,” another man said, pulling up his belt so the metal buckle rattled. “The driver explained very clearly that the car was parked in the backyard. The woman was brought here kidnapped.”
"I know, I know," the man who spoke first said impatiently. "You're always cursing at me. Hurry up and pee, then go kill that woman and we'll have money. Then we'll have no shortage of houses, cars, and women. Just thinking about it excites me."
The conversation abruptly stopped, followed by the crunching sound of boots on the snow.
Bo Junxing glanced coldly at Shen Feiwan, grabbed her wrist, and ground his fingertips heavily into her protruding wrist bone. "As expected, Shen Feiwan, you came here for me."
"Just how many people have you offended?" The snow outside the window made his jawline taut like a knife. He lowered his voice, and a dark glint flickered in his eyes. "They don't seem as reasonable as I am. You're really something, having assassins chasing you to this godforsaken place the moment you landed."
Shen Feiwan shook off his grip and slammed her elbow into his ribs. "Stop talking nonsense. Either you stay here alone, or we leave together now. Let's run while they're still on the first floor."
Bo Junxing did not pull at her again.
He quickly got up and deftly tied one end of the rope to the bedpost in the room, making three knots.
Then he threw the end of the rope out the window and said without looking up, "You go down first."
Shen Feiwan was already straddling the windowsill, the cold wind whipping her loose hair. She glanced at Bo Junxing and said, "Then I won't stand on ceremony with you."
“Heh,” Bo Junxing chuckled, then suddenly reached out and grabbed her ankle. “Just don’t cut the rope after you go down.”
Shen Feiwan didn't bother arguing with him. She quickly grabbed the rope and slid down as lightly as a swallow. Her movements were swift and decisive, clearly indicating that she was no stranger to this method of escape.
Seeing this, Bo Junxing followed suit and slid down.
To be honest, he was a little worried that Shen Feiwan would run away on her own and leave him here to be a live target for those two assassins.
