Chapter 336 Admitting Defeat
Chapter 336 Admitting Defeat
Bo Junxing's breathing tightened slightly. He looked down into Shen Feiwan's eyes and asked, "Don't you... have feelings for me?"
Shen Feiwan's hand slid down his cheek, her fingertips gently tracing his jawline. "Yes."
Her voice was as soft as a sigh, "But I'm not in the mood right now."
Bo Junxing gently pulled her into his arms, his movements as tender as if she were a fragile treasure. "Tell me about it," he said, his lips brushing against her hair. "Even if I can't help, it'll make you feel better if you tell me."
Shen Feiwan shook her head in his arms, "It's hard to say."
"Then I'll ask and you answer?"
"But I'm not in the mood to answer questions right now."
Bo Junxing's Adam's apple bobbed, and he finally relented, "Then let's rest. But I have a favor to ask. I want to lie next to you, just hold you, and do nothing, is that alright?"
Shen Feiwan looked up at him and suddenly chuckled.
She raised her hand and placed it on his chest, her fingertips able to feel his rapid heartbeat through his shirt.
Step by step, she pushed him backward.
Bo Junxing coordinated his movements with hers, retreating at just the right pace. This way, he didn't strain her while prolonging the intimate contact.
Shen Feiwan didn't stop until his calves touched the edge of the bed in the guest room.
Bo Junxing took her hand, which was pressed against his chest, and lowered his head to kiss her fingertips. "I can wait."
His voice was hoarse, "It doesn't matter how long."
Shen Feiwan frowned slightly, looked up at Bo Junxing, and asked, "Aren't you afraid of being disappointed?"
Bo Junxing chuckled softly, his fingertips gently stroking the back of her hand. "Have I never been disappointed before?"
He took her hand and placed it against his chest. "At least there's still hope. Will you... disappoint me now?"
Bo Junxing asked seriously, and Shen Feiwan opened her mouth, but suddenly chuckled.
Bo Junxing squeezed her fingertips. "What are you laughing at?" His voice was aggrieved. "This is clearly a very serious question."
“I originally wanted to say something like ‘I can’t guarantee it’…” Shen Feiwan’s voice gradually softened, “but when the words came to my lips, I suddenly felt that I couldn’t say such hurtful things. I was a little reluctant.”
Bo Junxing's breathing faltered.
“Unless it’s due to force majeure…” Shen Feiwan raised her eyes to look at Bo Junxing, her gaze softening, “otherwise, I will try my best not to disappoint you again.”
Bo Junxing's eyes lit up instantly, as if they were filled with starlight.
He pulled her into his arms and rested his chin gently on her shoulder. "Your words are enough."
Shen Feiwan hummed in agreement, her fingers unconsciously twirling the ends of his hair at the back of his head. "I've made all the arrangements in Beicheng. Tomorrow... shall we go back to Nancheng together?"
Bo Junxing looked up abruptly, his eyes almost overflowing with surprise. "Really?"
"real."
He immediately grabbed her hand. "Then let's go to the airport now, don't wait until tomorrow. If you're sleepy, take a nap in the lounge."
Is it really necessary to be in such a hurry?
"To avoid any unforeseen complications." Bo Junxing had already strode towards the door. "I know you're tired. You don't need to lift a finger. Just tell me what to bring, and I'll pack it."
Shen Feiwan leaned against the door frame, a slight smile playing on her lips. "Just a laptop. Everything else can be bought."
Bo Junxing turned to look at her, smiling like a child who had received candy. "Yes, it's okay if we don't buy it for now." He paused. "I still have all the personal belongings you left at the Bo family home."
Shen Feiwan raised an eyebrow in surprise, "Didn't you throw it away?"
"I had them brought back exactly as they were."
"Are you so sure I'll go back?" She tilted her head to look at him.
Bo Junxing suddenly stepped forward, trapping her between himself and the door frame, his voice low and hoarse, "Back then, I was thinking of locking you up."
His nose brushed against her earlobe. "I was indeed locked up for a few days later... in the snow-capped mountains." His warm breath sprayed on her neck. "But I was no match for you."
As he spoke, he took a step back, his smile a mixture of helplessness and indulgence, "I concede defeat."
