Chapter 784 - 320: Yuezun_3
"No... don’t kill me..."
Ye Hanjun pinched his chin, still pondering, while the transmission, filled with fear, came in fits and starts:
"After so much difficulty being born... I don’t want to die here..."
"I want to go out... I want to leave this place... Attacking you all was a desperate move..."
"Save me... I’ll listen to you from now on... please..."
"What did you say? I can’t hear clearly."
Aegifura stepped forward in her crystal high heels, approaching step by step.
Standing before the Nightmare Falcon, she raised her foot, ready to cut off its last thread of life with her heel.
"No!"
The Nightmare Falcon issued a cry of despair, piercingly tragic.
Ye Hanjun brought a hand to his forehead and eventually relied on the Eye of Absolute Darkness to thread through the shadows and appear next to the Nightmare Falcon, then stretched out a leg to hook Aegifura’s heel in time.
"You really spring into action when it comes to beauty," he said.
"Oh... you want to stop me?"
Aegifura glared back, unyielding as she looked at the human before her, with no sign of backing down in her tone.
"Once a value is squeezed dry, it’s better to let it flow gently and last longer," Ye Hanjun shook his head. "If you kill it now, you can only ascend to Great Completion.
"But if you subjugate it as a slave of the heart, letting it live, then you’ll always have a high-quality life essence from the Illusion System at your side. If you keep refining it over time, it’s not just a matter of Great Completion anymore."
"Easy for you to say."
Aegifura still had her glaring eyes fixed on him, "It has reached Heaven and Earth Perfection, and the effects of the Berserk Blood haven’t completely worn off yet."
"Even if you and I merge to maintain control, it would still be very difficult to enslave its soul. It’s easier to consume it all at once, obtaining immediate, maximized short-term benefits."
"You... you won’t even try..."
The Nightmare Falcon, feeling that there was still a chance for it, was so furious that it bled from all seven orifices.
"Fine, I’ll give you one chance."
Aegifura withdrew her foot, the Magatama in the pupils of her eyes flaring with light, regardless of Ye Hanjun standing next to her.
"You... this guy..."
Ye Hanjun was speechless; this hot-tempered, impatient demoness didn’t want him to take control and directly started the subjugation process on her own.
"Snap!"
Aegifura’s whip came cracking down.
In the pupils of the Nightmare Falcon, six Magatama eyes immediately appeared, going from blurry to clear in just a brief moment.
"You know your place."
Aegifura paused, seemingly surprised at her own success.
"Master... please, throw me into the blood pool... I’ll heal myself..."
The Nightmare Falcon’s attitude kept dropping, begging miserably and humbly.
"Snap!"
Aegifura kicked, and the shattered Nightmare Falcon fell into the blood pool once again.
"Ruthless, with the Demon Blood flowing within, Immortal Goose looks forward to your future!"
Goose Immortal, who was soaking in a bath, opened his eyes and glanced over, clicking his tongue in wonder.
"Little beauty is so violent; she’ll definitely have trouble getting married."
GuaGua, who was busy preparing for his lessons, stealthily drew a simple sketch of Aegifura and then crossed it out.
"..."
Huazhu remained silent, making no comment.
She knew better than anyone why Lord Han didn’t want the Nightmare Falcon to die. Apart from the strategy of letting it grow steadily, another important reason was that this creature was of the Feather Clan, and it could serve as Goose Immortal’s minion, accumulating power for his All Birds Return to The Nest.
"What should I call you?"
Half-submerged in the blood pool, Goose Immortal, relying on his massive size and seizing the moment when the Nightmare Falcon was at its limits, wrapped an arm around the falcon’s shoulders, exuding enthusiasm: "My true name—Goose Immortal."
"Although your status is a bit higher than mine for now, it won’t be long before I surpass you."
"Stay... away from me..."
The Nightmare Falcon struggled back and forth, but ultimately failed.
"Hey, we’re from the same hometown, aren’t we? When fellow villagers meet, shouldn’t there be tears in their eyes?"
Goose Immortal hugged him even tighter, and the still-intact wing bone of the Nightmare Falcon snapped with a crack.
"Oops, sorry about that, I hurt you."
Hearing the sharp scream of the Nightmare Falcon and sensing the fierce eyes that seemed to want to kill it.
Goose Immortal, completely nonchalant, didn’t take it to heart at all, and continued to prattle:
"Let me tell you, brother, together we’ll build a huge Holy Nest."
"And when the time comes, I’ll appoint you as the Chief Nest Commander, underneath only one goose and above tens of thousands of birds."
"Get away from me...far away!!"
The Nightmare Falcon was going crazy, even beginning to wonder if it might be more liberating to just die than to live a half-dead existence.
"Shy, bashful."
"But not to worry, my intentions are sincere. The future of our Feather Clan will assuredly bear our shadows."
Goose Immortal let go of the Nightmare Falcon, closed its eyes, and slowly sank its head deep into the blood pool.
...
A year later, in the deepest part of Soul Calming Mountain.
The blood pool had all but dried up, and Goose Immortal, who was sprawled in the pond sound asleep, abruptly stopped its thunderous snoring.
"Hm? Is the Chimera about to be born?"
Goose Immortal rubbed its eyes, picked out the eye crust, and its wandering gaze slowly focused.
"Crack—Crack—"
The three-meter-tall tri-colored patterned egg developed a crack at its very top.
"Bam!"
Without any crack spreading, the entire eggshell exploded, and out popped a tiny Chimera, shrunk countless times smaller, drenched all over, as if it had just crawled out of water.
"Roar!"
"Moo!"
"Hiss!"
Three distinctly different cries rang out as the youthful lion head, goat head, and snake head each howled.
And their eyes, were respectively locked onto Goose Immortal, GuaGua, and Ye Hanjun.
"Ee-ee, it’s calling me mommy!"
GuaGua exclaimed in surprise, bouncing around with glee.
"Hey? What are you babbling about, you little squirt? I’m imposing and majestic, how could I look like your mommy?"
Goose Immortal straightened its face, reprimanding unhappily.
"Mommy!"
"Mommy!"
"Mommy!!"
The lion head, goat head, and snake head were relentless in their cries.
"Why is this different from what I imagined?"
"Does every head of the Chimera Clan have its own intelligence?"
Ye Hanjun scratched his head, showing a trace of bewilderment.
From the three distinct cries, he heard hidden mental fluctuations, vaguely comprehending their meaning.
This confused him somewhat, especially when he locked eyes with the snake head; the surprise hidden in its clear eyes was unmistakable.
"Plop!"
The tiny Chimera attempted to pounce, but with the three heads exerting force in different directions, it didn’t just fail to move—it tumbled to the ground.
"Ow!"
The snake head bit the goat head, which struggled and tried to bite back.
But it’s neck wasn’t as flexible, so it couldn’t reach, and it fumed with smoke billowing from its nostrils.
"Roar..."
The lion head let out a half-hearted growl twice, laid its front paws down, closed its eyes, and surprisingly began to doze off.
It had just been born, how could it be so lazy, and have no curiosity about the world at all?
