Tavern of the Spear: Desire for Pleasure

Chapter 117 I Don't Want to Name It

Chapter 117 I Don't Want to Name It

All the viscous liquid came to the back of Abu's hand, and the viscous liquid began to combine together.

Cheng Yu, Bai Yu, and Xing Luo all watched this scene with curiosity, except for Abu.

At this moment, his SAN value was dropping rapidly. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't shake off the thing in his hand, and it seemed that the thing in his hand was absorbing his power.

Unable to get rid of this thing, Abu looked at Cheng Yu with a pleading expression.

Cheng Yu created this, so surely he must have a solution, he thought.

Cheng Yu gave Abu an awkward smile, which made Abu even more distraught. Looking at the rapidly expanding viscous substance on the back of his hand, Abu's eyes rolled back and he fainted.

After a while, Abu opened his eyes again. He tried to calm himself down, took a deep breath, and slowly opened his eyes. This time, he was mentally prepared to face any possible terrifying sight. However, when he actually opened his eyes, he saw a pair of large, chibi-style eyes staring at him curiously. These eyes were round, sparkling with innocent light, and looked both cute and comical.

Abu screamed and then fainted again.

When Abu awoke again, he found himself lying on a soft patch of grass, sunlight filtering through the leaves and warming his face. The sticky liquid on the back of his hand was gone, replaced by a small, transparent slime. The slime's body was crystal clear, as if formed from solidified water, and it was curiously crawling around on Abu's hand, occasionally reaching out its tiny tentacles to touch his fingers.

Abu stared wide-eyed at the adorable little creature, his heart filled with surprise and curiosity. He cautiously moved his finger, and the slime immediately noticed, its little body trembling slightly before it continued its curious exploration.

"Is this a slime?" Abu's voice trembled slightly; he wasn't sure if he was dreaming.

“That’s right, this is a slime.” Cheng Yu’s voice came from the side. He was sitting next to Abu, with a hint of apology on his face. “Abu, I’m really sorry. I didn’t expect this to happen.”

Abu turned to look at Cheng Yu, a hint of confusion in his eyes: "What's going on? Why are there slimes?"

Cheng Yu sighed and explained, "That potion was originally intended to test magical talent, but because you drank the first potion, your body had a special reaction. This reaction interacted with the potion's magic, ultimately forming this slime."

This explanation was something Cheng Yu and Bai Yu came up with after discussing it for a long time after Abu fell into a coma. In short, Xing Luo and Bai Yu knew that Cheng Yu was talking nonsense. Although there was some truth to what he said, he was just talking nonsense.

“But why is it in my hands?” Abu asked, a hint of unease in his voice.

"Because your magical talent is extremely powerful," Cheng Yu said. "This slime is the embodiment of your magical talent, and it will always accompany you and become your partner."

Abu looked at the slime in his hand, his heart filled with complex emotions. He felt both surprised and uneasy. The slime looked cute, but he didn't know what kind of impact it would have on him.

“Don’t worry, Abu,” Cheng Yu comforted him. “Slimes are very gentle creatures; they won’t hurt you. In fact, they’ll help you master magic better.”

Abu nodded. Although he was still a little uneasy, he understood that this might be a way for him to gain power. He reached out and gently stroked the slime's body. The slime immediately let out a cheerful "coo" sound, as if responding to Abu's touch.

"Abu, let's begin the formal training now." Bai Yu's voice came from not far away. He and Xing Luo walked over, their faces showing encouraging smiles.

"Training?" Abu looked up, a determined glint in his eyes. "Okay, I'm ready!"

Cheng Yu, Bai Yu, and Xing Luo exchanged a glance and nodded.

“First, we need to start with the basic theories of magic,” Cheng Yu said. “The world of magic is vast, and you need to understand some basic concepts and principles first.”

Abu listened intently to Cheng Yu's explanation, his eyes filled with longing. He knew this was the first step on his path to becoming a strong person.

“There are many kinds of magic, such as elemental magic, illusion magic, healing magic, and so on,” Cheng Yu continued. “Each kind of magic has its unique characteristics and uses. First, you need to decide which kind of magic you want to learn.”

Abu thought for a moment and said, "I want to learn elemental magic, especially fire magic. I think fire magic is powerful and cool."

Cheng Yu nodded: "Fire magic is indeed very powerful, but you can't learn it."

"Why? What about the illusion?" Abu asked, puzzled.

Cheng Yu shook his head, saying apologetically, "I'm sorry, Abu, you can't learn illusion magic either."

Abu asked about several other types of magic, but Cheng Yu shook his head each time, indicating that Abu couldn't learn them. A hint of disappointment flashed in Abu's eyes. He looked at Cheng Yu with a wry smile and asked, "Does that mean I don't have any magical talent at all? Are you just saying I have high magical talent to comfort me?"

Cheng Yu quickly shook his head, explaining, "No, Abu, your magical talent is indeed very high, but those kinds of spells really aren't suitable for you. A genius like you should develop in a higher direction, such as spatial or temporal magic, instead of thinking about those lower-level spells."

Bai Yu and Xing Luo nodded in agreement with Cheng Yu's statement. However, in reality, only Bai Yu among them knew some spatial and temporal magic, while Cheng Yu's magic was too abstract and impossible to learn without professional guidance. Cheng Yu himself was a very abstract person; he couldn't even master these spells well, let alone teach them to others.

Seeing the determined expressions on their faces, Abu's disappointment gradually dissipated. He understood that Cheng Yu and the others genuinely wanted to help him, but the current situation was somewhat tricky. He took a deep breath and asked, "So, what should I do now? I really want to learn magic."

Cheng Yu thought for a moment and said, "Abu, don't rush. Learning magic is a long process that requires patience. We can start with some basic magic theories to help you build a solid foundation. When the time is right, I believe you will definitely find a magical path that suits you."

Abu nodded. Although he was still a little impatient, he understood that Cheng Yu made sense. He looked at the slime in his hand, which was bouncing happily on the back of his hand, as if encouraging him. A warm feeling welled up in Abu's heart; he felt the support and encouragement of his friends.

“Okay, I will study hard,” Abu said firmly. “I believe that as long as I work hard enough, I will one day become an excellent magician.”

Cheng Yu, Bai Yu, and Xing Luo all smiled. They stepped forward and gently patted Abu on the shoulder.

"Keep going, Abu, we all believe in you," Bai Yu said.

“Remember, no matter what happens, we will always support you,” Xingluo said gently.

Abu looked at them gratefully, his heart filled with strength. He had never imagined that these three would actually help him; he had originally thought that these three guys were the kind of arrogant big shots who would never pay attention to small fry like them.

“We believe in you too, Abu,” Cheng Yu said with a smile, patting Abu on the shoulder. “Remember, nothing is impossible if you’re willing to work hard.”

Abu nodded vigorously, his eyes shining with determination. He knew that his road ahead was long, but he was ready to face all challenges.

Just then, a voice suddenly rang in Abu's mind: "Abu, do you remember our promise?"

The voice was deep and hoarse, as if carrying some kind of magic, instantly pulling Abu's consciousness into a strange space. Abu felt a blur before his eyes, and the scenery around him suddenly changed. He found himself in a white world, with soft clouds beneath his feet and endless void above his head.

Cheng Yu, Bai Yu, and Xing Luo were startled to see Abu suddenly collapse to the ground. They rushed over and anxiously called out Abu's name, but Abu did not respond and seemed to have fallen into a deep sleep.

"Abu! Abu! What's wrong with you?" Xingluo's voice was full of worry as she gently shook Abu's body, hoping to wake him up.

Cheng Yu and Bai Yu also looked anxious. They didn't know what had happened to Abu, but they could sense that something was wrong with Abu.

"Could it be that there was something wrong with the medicine we just had?" Bai Yu wondered, his brows furrowed and his eyes filled with worry.

Cheng Yu shook his head and said, "Impossible. I've checked that bottle of medicine many times. There's absolutely no problem with it."

"What exactly happened to Abu?" Xingluo asked anxiously. "What should we do?"

Cheng Yu and Bai Yu exchanged a glance, both seeing a hint of helplessness in each other's eyes. All they could do now was wait for Abu to wake up and see what had happened to him.

In Abu's mental world, he was facing a familiar figure. It was a tall, wolf-beastman with gray fur and sharp eyes, radiating a powerful aura. Abu stared at this figure, his heart filled with shock and fear.

"It's you! That despicable wolf-beastman recorded in the White Dragon History!" Abu's voice trembled as he pointed at the wolf-beastman before him, his eyes filled with rage. "You treated our race as slaves! So it was you who spoke in my mind! You bastard, you really wanted to kill me! I will not accept your power, nor be seduced by you! Absolutely not!"

Abu poured out all his thoughts in one breath, his voice growing louder and louder, as if he were venting all the fear and anger in his heart.

Kaimenridge, however, paid no attention to Abramovich's roar. He lazily found a place to lie down, as if he were enjoying a good show.

“Calm down, Abu.” Kemenridge’s voice was calm and deep, as if it had some kind of magic. “You have a deep misunderstanding of me. I don’t want to hurt you. On the contrary, I’m here to help you.”

"Help me?" Abu sneered. "Your so-called help is turning me into your slave?"

“No, Abu, you’re wrong.” Kemenridge shook his head. “I gave you power so that you could become stronger, so that you could protect yourself and everything you cherish.”

“I don’t need your power!” Abu shouted. “I can gain power through my own efforts. I don’t need to rely on anyone!”

Kaimenridge looked at Abu, a hint of admiration flashing in his eyes: "Very good, Abu, I admire your ambition. But you must also understand that some things cannot be accomplished by hard work alone. You need strength, you need my help."

“I don’t need it!” Abu refused again. “I’d rather be an ordinary person than be your pawn!”

Kaimen Rich sighed and said, "Abu, you're too stubborn. Do you think you can escape my control by rejecting me? You're wrong. You're already bound to me. You're destined to be my pawn."

Abu's face turned pale. He looked at Kemenridge with fear and despair in his eyes. He knew he had nowhere to run and could only accept Kemenridge's arrangements.

“Alright, I agree.” Abu’s voice was low and weak. “I accept your power and will become your pawn.”

Kaimen Rich laughed, a smile tinged with smugness and mockery.

“Very good, Abu, you’ve made a wise choice,” Kemenridge said. “From now on, you are my pawn. I will give you power to make you stronger, but you must also obey my orders and complete the tasks I assign you.”

Abu nodded; he knew he had no choice. He could only accept Kaimenridge's arrangement and become his pawn, for survival and to become stronger.

Abu lowered his head helplessly, knowing he had no other choice. Kemenridge's immense strength suffocated him; he was like an insect caught in a spider's web, unable to escape no matter how hard he struggled.

"So, what exactly do you want me to do?" Abu's voice was low and hoarse, tinged with despair.

Kemenridge stood up, walked up to Abu, and looked down at him. His gaze was sharp as a knife, as if it could pierce through Abu's heart.

“It’s simple, Abu.” Kemenridge’s voice was deep and seductive. “I want you to continue to make Cheng Yu believe in you more…” He paused, a wicked smile playing on his lips, “and then, take everything from him.”

Abu abruptly raised his head, his eyes filled with shock and confusion. He couldn't understand Kemenridge's intentions, let alone why he should approach Cheng Yu.

"Why?" Abu asked, puzzled.

Kaimen Rich smiled but didn't answer Abu's question directly. He reached out and gently stroked Abu's cheek, saying softly, "Abu, you're smart and have a lot of potential. I believe you can complete the task I've given you."

Abu felt nauseous and tried to escape Kemenridge's touch, but found himself unable to move. Kemenridge's strength was like a mountain, firmly pressing him down.

"What exactly do you want?" Abu asked again, his voice filled with fear and unease.

“Don’t rush, Abu, I’ll tell you slowly.” Kemen Rich withdrew his hand, turned and walked into the distance. “Now, you just need to remember my words: get close to Cheng Yu and gain his trust. As for the rest, we’ll talk about it later.”

Abu watched Kemenridge's departing figure, his heart filled with doubt and fear. He didn't know what Kemenridge wanted to do, but he knew he had been drawn into a dangerous game.

"Wait!" Abu suddenly shouted, "If you pull me into the mental world, Cheng Yu and the others outside will definitely find out! Aren't you afraid of being exposed?"

Kemenridge stopped and turned to look at Abu, a mysterious smile playing on his lips.

"Exposure? It was bound to happen sooner or later," he said casually. "I've already found what I was looking for."

"What is it?" Abu pressed.

"I let you get close to Cheng Yu just for that slime you possess," Kemenridge said with a hint of mockery.

Abu was stunned. He looked down at the slime in his hand, his eyes filled with confusion.

"Slime? What's so special about it? It's just ordinary slime."

Kaimen Rich shook his head, walked up to Abu, squatted down, and looked him in the eye.

"Have you ever wondered why those viscous liquids eventually turned into slime?"

Abu frowned, carefully recalling what had happened. The viscous liquid had indeed appeared out of thin air, and then inexplicably turned into slime.

"Could it be..." Abu suddenly realized something, "that liquid is a kind of energy?"

Kaimen Rich nodded approvingly. "That's right, Abu, you're very clever. Those liquids are indeed a form of energy, and they originate from the same source as my energy."

"Your energy?" Abu was even more puzzled. "Why did your energy turn into slime?"

“The energy I transferred to you earlier was sensed by these liquids,” Kemenridge explained. “And this energy has a domineering characteristic: the stronger one will devour the energy within the weaker one. That’s why you felt your energy being absorbed earlier.”

"So it turned into a slime because..." Abu seemed to understand something.

“Because the owner of this power might be a slime,” Kemenridge said with a hint of amusement. “A very powerful slime.”
