Chapter 130 Ice Island
Chapter 130 Ice Island
Xia Shiyu watched the three snowmen disappear before stopping in frustration. She had no choice but to go find the polar bears first, since the place was too big and she would have to play around on her own if she got lost.
Fortunately, she was teleported to the same place she had logged in last time; otherwise, she wouldn't have known where to go in this vast white landscape.
She followed the path and when she saw an igloo with a sign that read "Polar Bear Home," she knew she had found the place.
Xia Shiyu stepped forward and knocked on the door. "Mr. Polar Bear, are you home?"
The polar bear opened the door from the inside, its two furry ears twitched a few times, and then it looked at her in shock.
"It's you, human. What are you doing here? Come in quickly."
The polar bear led her towards the igloo, and when Xia Shiyu went inside, she saw another polar bear roasting a large, red mushroom.
Xia Shiyu was immediately startled. Could it be that there are "red umbrellas" in the world of fairy tales?
She fearfully stepped forward, intending to stop the polar bear's actions, when she noticed that the "red umbrella" looked strange. She realized that although it was a bright red mushroom, the texture on it was clearly the color of flesh, not a frightening red like blood.
She couldn't help but ask, "Is this a barbecue?"
Another polar bear glanced at her and nodded. "Yes, this is a special kind of meat we obtained from the Magic Forest. It's made from specially cultivated meat mushrooms, and it tastes just like real meat."
"Oh, I see." Xia Shiyu said, indicating that she understood. As expected of a fairy tale world, everything seemed reasonable.
However, the polar bear realized what was happening and began to question Xia Shiyu, "Human, why are you here again?"
Xia Shiyu didn't know why, but she felt strange hearing them keep calling her "human." So she introduced herself to the two polar bears: "My name is Xia Shiyu. I came here to play, but I only have two hours a week. I'm really sorry to bother you again."
"Oh, I see." The polar bear that opened the door scratched its head and then began to explain.
"I'm Erbai, and he's called Dabai. You can call us that. From now on, we'll call you Xiaxia."
Xia Shiyu nodded happily, "Okay, hello Da Bai and Er Bai."
After exchanging names, everyone became noticeably more familiar with each other. Da Bai flipped the mushroom meat over again and went to get a few more pieces to grill.
Erbai brought her a wooden stool. "Sit down. We'll take you out to play after we finish eating."
"Okay, okay," Xia Shiyu nodded.
This meat cooks very quickly. Xia Shiyu smelled a faint aroma of meat. It was strange that even though no seasoning was added, it still smelled very good.
Da Bai found three ice trays and placed the meat on them one by one, with ice chopsticks and ice forks next to them. He first handed this portion to Xia Shiyu.
"Xia, you can have this. It's quite delicious."
Xia Shiyu accepted the gift with a sense of surprise. She hadn't expected that he would get a share, since polar bears are so big, it's normal for them to eat more.
"Thank you so much."
"It's alright." After saying that, Erbai took its share. It and Dabai didn't need knives or anything like that. They just grabbed the mushroom meat and started gnawing on it, their thick paws protecting them.
Xia Shiyu looked at the plate of mushroom meat in front of her, which looked somewhat like beef. She took a knife, cut off a piece, and then used chopsticks to pick it up and put it in her mouth.
In an instant, a wonderful taste surged into my heart. How can I describe it? I could taste the freshness of mushrooms and also the flavor of spiced beef. The taste was very good, not fishy or greasy at all. There were no seasonings, and the pure natural taste was delicious.
Xia Shiyu chewed quickly twice, and after swallowing, she began to praise, "It's so delicious, thank you so much."
Da Bai smiled slightly, very calmly, "I'm glad you like it. If you don't have enough later, there's more over there."
"No need, no need." Xia Shiyu shook her head. The mushroom meat was quite large, and Da Bai even took care of her by giving her a smaller portion. He and Er Bai were eating mushroom meat that was bigger than her face.
Xia Shiyu ate with great pleasure, finding the meat delicious. At that moment, Da Bai brought out a pot of mushroom soup.
These are all common mushrooms; they taste delicious when cooked with a little salt.
Da Bai ladled her a bowl of mushroom soup, saying, "Xia, have some of this soup."
Xia Shiyu immediately accepted it with both hands and thanked her earnestly, "Thank you so much."
Then I took a sip of the goji berry and mushroom soup with reverence, and immediately felt a warm feeling in my stomach. The mushroom soup was also very delicious.
Both bears and Xia Shiyu ate very happily. Xia Shiyu finished the plate of mushroom meat and the bowl of mushroom soup, and ate everything clean, feeling quite full.
She felt incredibly lucky to be able to eat such delicious food.
Da Bai and Er Bai quickly finished their battle. After Er Bai packed up their things, the two bears stood up and said to Xia Shiyu, "Xia, let's go out and play."
"Okay," Xia Shiyu nodded and stood up.
Da Bai opened the door first, glanced outside and saw that the snowstorm had stopped, the wind was not strong, and it was not as cold as usual.
He turned to Xia Shiyu and said, "The wind has stopped, but the road is still a bit slippery. Xia, why don't you sit on my lap and I'll take you there? It's hard to walk here."
Xia Shiyu exclaimed in surprise, "Really?" Then he could get up close to polar bears and even touch their fur.
"Of course you can sit on it." After saying that, Baymax turned back into a four-limbed walking vehicle.
With the help of Erbai, Xia Shiyu climbed onto Dabai's back.
She reached out and grabbed Big White's white fur. It felt a little stiff, but still very comfortable. She couldn't help but rub it a few times.
Big White didn't say anything, just twitched its bear ears twice and said, "We're ready, let's get going."
Xia Shiyu had only said half of "okay" when she felt herself running as fast as she could.
Two polar bears ran swiftly across the land. Their rapid speed initially startled her, but she quickly regained her composure.
Xia Shiyu could feel the wind generated by the speed, and she could only thank the protection of the ice flower. At this moment, she did not feel her hands and feet were about to freeze and her face was about to crack as before.
She found it quite magical, feeling as if she had arrived on a grassland and was now galloping freely on the back of a bear, able to see the vast scenery of the Ice Island and the towering glaciers.
